‘Stop policing my adobo’

By Rappler @rapplerdotcom
Filipinos were quick to criticize the Department of Trade and Industry’s proposal to ‘standardize’ local cuisines such as adobo, sinigang, sisig, and lechon.
Kakaiba talaga priorities ng gobyerno na toh 🤯

Isn’t adobo as varied as the languages found in the Philippines?

Adobo & sinigang is a cultural thing! You just cannot mandate it! To DTI, stop wasting taxpayers' money! Find something better to do than dabbling with our taste buds & into our 1,000 ways to make adobo & sinigang!

Freakin’ waste of gov’t resources. DTI should leave adobo, etc., alone. Your capacity-building program for MSMEs needs work, esp. on the publicity & process side. Why not focus on that?

The DTI has formed a committee to come up with a “national standard” for adobo and other popular Filipino favorites as “sinigang," “sisig," and lechon. | @roycanivel_inq newsinfo.inquirer.net/1457952/commit

A technical committee will be developing the Philippine National Standards when it comes to cooking popular local dishes like adobo, lechon, sinigang, and sisig, the Department of Trade and Industry says. bit.ly/3ANxCb1

1. Wala ba kayo magawa na dapat gawin? 2. That will set back the cuisine years. What makes Filipino cuisine great is because there is no exact recipe for it. Each province or person has a take. Dont me @/ DTI

this is just a waste of government resources.. let the art of cooking our native dishes remain an art not constrained by so-called technical standards.. such standards cannot and should not be enforced no matter how many "experts" are behind them

Is this really necessary? Serious question

Kung mas tinututukan sana yung masunod yung matinong standard para sa mga nakaupo sa gobyerno e di masaya sana tayo.
