What scares me... The number of confirmed covid-19 cases probably lags the number of true cases by a week or more. Assuming exponential growth until restrictions are in place, the number of confirmed cases goes up sharply for days after restrictions are set. 1/6

Definitely. By my guess, we have just about enough infected people today that we might be able to absorb into our ICUs, in aggregate and ignoring issues of matching patients with available ICU beds. beyond that, a fatality rate of 5+% might be the new reality.

In a country with a bit over 5 million people, estimate was that ~6000 people could end up to hospital because of the
#covid19 infection. Also: "Number of corona cases in Finland may be 20-30 times higher than official count"https://yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/thl_director_number_of_corona_cases_in_finland_may_be_20-30_times_higher_than_official_count/11259388 … - 10 more replies
