I look forward to revisiting this; the new license terms are a potent incentive to finally release some derivative work I did a few years ago.

Can you clarify if your happy for me to recreate hxSpiro to MIT. <https://github.com/nanjizal/hxSpiro/blob/master/hxSpiro/Spiro.hx …> Obviously I would get round to fixing the example to run well with WebGL & updating code in relation to haxe4 improvements. Can update links to reference just your new spiro project.

Yes, please feel free to update hxSpiro to MIT license. And thanks for your porting work!

I’d like to come meet you in Berkeley sometime and chat about this!

Sure thing! I have "two coffees a week" policy, basically a consequence of the open invitation in https://raphlinus.github.io/personal/2018/08/28/a-new-adventure.html …. I'll follow up by email with logistics.

Why Apache 2 + MIT, rather than just MIT?
-
For one, it comes with a strong and explicit patent grant. But also cultural signaling, it's a badge among people in the Rust community.
