I haven't been doing serious work on collaborative editing. Honestly, as research it hasn't been very rewarding. But I'm basically doing all my work in Rust these days, with a detour into the spline research, JavaScript for rapid prototyping.

I guess the text layout library should work fine with AAT fonts? (as Harfbuzz has been supporting AAT recently)

I've been working on a couple crates that might be useful as part of the Rust GUI ecosystem, especially something akin to React Native? https://github.com/LPGhatguy/snax https://github.com/LPGhatguy/ritz

Could be interesting indeed. I've got a roadmap half-drafted for the whole stack, but the idea is that druid is low level (provides a "host tree" in React lingo), making room for a layer above it which is easier to use.

Writing is also important for coordinating open source work. Philip Guo has talked about this as a "talking to doing ratio": http://www.pgbovine.net/PG-Vlog-16-talking-to-doing-ratio.htm …
