Seriously, read on BTS and women's desires. The novel sounds enticing, but the Vulture review is written with a different sensibility aimed towards click-bait. But it doesnt have a nuanced understanding of genre, platform, and methodology. lareviewofbooks.org/article/bts-pe

While I appreciate my work being quoted in @vulture, writing about older women having sexual desires as “chipperly boring” by @CatZhang1 is dismissive of me and the women. Exploring how these women finally have a place to feel embodied desires, I guess, is “pretty boring.”

I hope people use this bizarre writing-off of the piece as an excuse to *read* it; @raneutill's "BTS: Permission to Desire" is so beautiful and heartbreaking and nuanced and inspiring: lareviewofbooks.org/article/bts-pe

This piece means so much to me. I interviewed 25 women over 40 about the permission has given them to have desires, something foreclosed to women as they age.
