I’ve watched and read a myriad of tributes to Mike Leach. None are any finer than this one from the SEC Network, voiced by . Find a few minutes and give it a look.

The college football world is brighter with Mike Leach in it. Praying he pulls through and thinking about his family and friends ❤️❤️❤️

No one can criticize Jaxon Smith-Njigba for skipping Ohio State’s playoff game when the entire defense skipped the Michigan game.

This is literally how he answers every single hard question. “I’m not sure….umm…maybe….I wasn’t really paying attention….I don’t know what happened….
Followed by a standing ovation from audience.

Two years ago at this time I'm not sure UM fans would vote for Harbaugh to return.
He swapped out 6/10 assistant coaches, a big boy bet, and has gone 24-2 since, with two Big Ten titles and (likely!) CFP bids.
World looks a little different for UM today.

Flat out suck.

A modest proposal: Any UM fan who boos Cade McNamara, who led UM to a resounding victory over OSU and its first Big Ten title in 18 years, should have their lungs ripped out by wolves.

PSA: There's absolutely no need to boo or do/say anything stupid. Having someone like Cade McNamara on the roster is a huge asset for Michigan. He's a Big Ten Championship winning QB, a really solid QB and a team captain. You can be a J.J. QB1 proponent without being anti-Cade.

Both of these things are unequivocally true:
- Michigan State made plays at the end of the game. Michigan did not.
- The officiating in this game was absolutely atrocious and 100% affected the final outcome of the game.

Always easy to blame the refs, and doesn't count for much. Losses are losses.
But having watched UM football for a half-century, it must be said many UM losses that hinged on bad calls - going back to 1974 FG v. OSU, 1979 Rose Bowl phantom TD, on down - and not many UM wins.

Officiating aside, it’s a game that Michigan led by 16 midway through the third quarter and ended up losing. That has to be the final takeaway from this. Contenders absolutely do not lose games like that. Michigan did.

Allow me to object to the rule allowing kick returners to call fair catch -and double that objection to those who do.
Real men do not call fair catches on kickoffs.
There, I said it.

Usually when the NCAA does something awful, you can point to it being greedy, power-hungry, or just stupid.
But sometimes, I swear, they're just being dicks because they can.
This unnecessarily late tip-off feels like one of those times.
