so i realized i couldn't return the Wrong RAM because i threw out the packaging so i just stuck it back in the computer. it's magically picking it all up and now i have 32gb ram. i am mad with power

- slight complicating factor: i have windows installed on a ssd, which is normally great, but it boots faster than i can hit the bios key. if i remembered which one it is. which i do not

- finally shows up. just plugged it in. booted it up. system is only seeing one ram stick.

- got a new motherboard and new ram
- installed everything, booted it up. system is only seeing one ram stick. after troubleshooting, turns out the ram is not listed on that motherboard's approved list.
- order different ram. takes a month to be delivered for some reason

Every so often, I'm reminded that there are people out there who think "Just stay on top of the cleaning! It's not hard!" is good cleaning advice.
It's a good reminder that experiences and ability are not universal, and if someone's not "just" doing something, there's a reason.
