Now I am concerned about this as i have my kids featuring in my channel now and then. They are 11 and 6 year old. Does that mean that it will fall under this change and I shall be worried? Mine is a fitness channel but I plan to make family vlogs soon.

This is about the individual video's content & its target audience (i.e. is it made for kids?) vs the ages of the people in the video. You know your videos & target audience best, which is why you'll self designate (in addition to our systems). More: https://yt.be/help/pE5Q
