Going fully negative on Biden right after he surges isn't the most productive thing for Sanders supporters to do, but it would be a great deal MORE productive than going after Warren for coming in fifth

I like you a lot and respect your endorsement Warren but when? The difference between having a progressive elected and having Biden is being decided now and establishment candidates are not going to roll over. This will be a narrow fight. We needed ALL HANDS on deck.

I want Warren to stay in all the way to the convention and try to use her delegates for whatever leverage she can

If it turns out that's no leverage, fine, whatever I'd still rather have those be her delegates than have them split evenly between Sanders, Klobuchar and Buttigieg, which is what the polls actually say will happen when she drops out

Isn’t there a real possibility that means a Biden win? Or no candidate getting a majority or solid plurality? The chance is not zero.

If it's a Biden majority, well, that's the roll of the dice. If she's the difference between a plurality and a majority, that puts her in the catbird/kingmaker seat, doesn't it?

Yeah are you equally against a brokered convention if it means coronating Biden as you are of it means Bernie Because it's really not clear that Warren dropping out would put Bernie "over the top" of anything

I am. I think a brokered convention dramatically increases the chance of a DJT win EVEN if it is Bernie. Dems have a winning majority but it can be credibly fractured. A brokered convention ONLY helps DJT

Why does it? This "a brokered convention means the short-fingered vulgarian will win" is a staple of Berniac conversation, but nobody has actually said *why* this will happen.

I just said why. The bonds that holds Dem voters together are weaker than the ones that hold the GOP together. There is a real possibly of a fraction being depressed or not even coming.

Your logic seems kind of circular here. If the polls are at all accurate, Dem voters (with, sigh, one exception) plan to support whoever the nominee is. And if the convention ends up negotiating a platform that's acceptable to a majority of the voters, what's the problem?

"Because we will make it happen" seems the most important reason.
