    People don't post to social networks or make YouTube videos about or invite podcast guest's on to discuss "high quality work." They amplify things that create emotional resonance in their audiences (curiosity, anger, controversy, drama, surprise, etc). That's what you need!

    But #2... yeah, #2 is the real problem. That's because too many marketers believe sharing, amplification, & coverage go to things that are high quality. THEY DO NOT. The news doesn't cover "high quality" stories, products, people, issues. They cover emotion-eliciting ones.

    For #4 - a lot of this is timing or reach. "Successful" stuff often works b/c the creator's already well-known. Familiarity begets amplification. Only one thing to do: keep at it, and increase the surface area of exposure. Sometimes one mention or bit of coverage does the trick.

    For #1 - continually consume work better than your own. Compare. Ask others to compare, especially folks you trust to give you blunt, unfiltered feedback. For #3 - keep experimenting, learning, iterating, & build your audience, preferably with email (not just social followers!).
