Views from the Western Express Highway in Mumbai this morning. Slums across the service roads of the highway are considered shameful to the "Mother of Democracy". So they have been covered behind curtains and posters. With this, poverty has been eradicated in Mumbai. Jai ho!

1/n Government of Kerala walks the talk on higher education reforms. It had earlier removed Governor Arif Mohammed Khan from the post of Chancellor of Kerala Kalamandalam University (a public deemed university). And now it has appointed Dr Mallika Sarabhai as the new Chancellor.

Curious about the growing financial crisis in the #UnitedKingdom, I started reading on it and ended up drawing this. To be fair, it looks also like a primer on the crisis! Pardon the fun I indulged in at the centre!

11/ In 1957, Magsaysay died in a plane crash. But so useful was his role for the U.S. that in 1965, Lyndon Johnson was actively looking for a "Vietnamese Magsaysay" to save Saigon. In fact, after Philippines, Lansdale was posted in Saigon where he tried the same, but in vain.
