    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of K-9 Officer Knox who passed away yesterday evening because of a sudden illness. He was assigned to Senior Officer Lyman of the Canine Unit. Knox was two years old and joined the department in June of 2020.

    At approximately 8:48 p.m., on September 1, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 4600 block of Dansey Drive. Upon arrival, officers located two adult females suffering from stab wounds. They were transported for treatment of their injuries.

    Detective Tom G. Crabtree was killed in the line of duty on August 31, 1922. Detective Crabtree heard shots fired en-route to a surveillance assignment. When he arrived on scene, he found a subject in a taxi and when he approached he was shot multiple times.
