    This is now becoming an issue of competence. These assessments cannot and should not be dismissed as partisan or “anti-India”. The world needs a vibrant Indian economy. The govt should more openly ask for help and invest the time and policy intellect it deserves.

    The Editorial Boards of both the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times call out the Modi government’s lack of economic commitment. This is a serious problem — few will invest in a country engulfed by government sponsored chaos and political mismanagement.
