I co-host a Marxist Reading Group for some of my students who are interested in critical thinking & today we were talking about how one of capitalism's strongest secret weapons is that it is incredibly adaptive & fluid, adjusting to seem progressive so it's harder to pin down.

Also, Cronenberg’s biological horror is unmatched. The Fly and Existenz alone create some horrific biological images that have never been matched.

I also love the original Fly but I just realized that there’s less time between the original Fly (1958) and the Cronenberg (1986) than there is between the Cronenberg Fly and now.
