I would point out that current life on Earth is what survived several extinction events that nearly wiped all life.The fragility of life is a myth.

Hi. Not sure if here is the best place to ask, but: Would the present temperature peak be registered in the records we use to look past temperature anomalies? I ask because it is so fast, it may not leave enough trace behind. And also…

If we are going to "uncharted territory", seem that we should consider (Occam's razor) the possibility of some peak like this be a trigger to a more common "territory" – like ocean heating triggering changes in currents and starting a new ice age. Am I talking nonsense?
