Reports say one Syrian was detained following the harrassment allegation. Police also made some arrests from the group who attacked the Syrian buildings. It is really frightening that slightest allegations could trigger mass violent mobs. Economic crisis is taking its toll

I find this extremely alarming. I’ve resided in Istanbul for the past 5 yrs and never seen anything of this scale. I hope this doesn’t usher in an era of racial and ethnic strife under the new “Belediye” chief
This is just the beginning I'm afraid, if this is not controlled or taken care of properly then it will be alot worse. Civil war doesn't seem so far away when we see things like this.
