Rusts bytes::BufMut could be used safely without the extra copy for reads if it implemented a read_from(T) where T has a read(buf)

Sonos has now moved from offering to brick devices to threatening to do so. Mail I just received says my devices are eol in May and do not have enough compute resources to "sustain innovation". Get a real business model folks, claiming these can't sustain playing music is not it.

It's an interesting inflection point for me that some of my habits that have enabled me to have significant impact in the past are also now the same traits I must change in order to move further forward. They're deeply embedded, some of them for over 3 decades.

So incredibly sad to hear of Ed Optiv’s passing. He made so many classic tunes over the years, fundamental to the scene we love. We will play the music forever. Sending love & strength to his family. RIP

Thinking we should start a distro who's purpose and culture is to review every patch to every package in it's ports tree, as well as it's kernel and toolchain. Lotta work, but I don't think anyone else is. Who's in?
