Dracula is in the public domain. I feel like we forget about that. Any of us could make a Dracula thing, in any medium at any time, and nobody could stop us.
We jumped through so many hoops to make sure Godzilla Unmade was legal. It’s still dubious, but it’s free and they’ll never make an official audio drama anywhere so they don’t care. It’s amazing to think about characters where that totally just isn’t the case.

Yeah, I think he copyrighted The Night of the Living Dead, and then named it Night of the Living Dead. I worked on a movie that benefitted from that mistake.
