The WARRANT is not a “no-knock” warrant. The affidavit requested that. But it was not authorized in the warrant itself. Was it?

Yes, it was. In Kentucky, if an officer requests a no-knock, and the judge signs the warrant, the no-knock is presumed to be authorized unless the judge explicitly instructs otherwise.

If you listened to the DAs press conference today while they had a no knock warrant it was not served as one. Meaning the police announced themselves (verified by civilian witness) and they did knock (verified by Breonna Taylor's boyfriend). The same boyfriend who shot first

is it common for police to be granted a no-knock and voluntarily decide to knock/announce?

I’m a sound sleeper. What does the training say about how loudly they need to announce? Do they announce as they break the door down? What is proper procedure?
