But these are some of the nicest concentration camps in history*. Barely a case of typhus in sight. One more thing the media just can't give Trump credit for. The New Villages during the Malaya Emergency might have been nicer. But Trump Camps are definitely top 5.
Not all concentration camps ended up being death camps, even in WW2. The definition is still the same, and has stayed pretty much the same through an unbroken tradition of these awful things being operated continuously since WW2 in different parts of the world.

it might evoke mass murder, but it doesn't mean the masses are being murdered. The US didn't murder the citizens it kept in its camps during ww2. But that evokation is important. I for one am not convinced that Trump will shy at mass murder.
