We live in a culture that almost universally mocks and denigrates sensitivity to media. Desensitization can quickly turn into hostility.

It's easy to imagine a Pokémon style game where if your pets get into fights, players are meant to be horrified and find ways to stop it.

I don't know the story well enough but I quite enjoy the collecting and evolving aspects. Those could be made more in-depth.
