    It’s true most of the really interesting game experiments are coming from indie games but the vast majority of indies are combat driven.

    It might be comforting to think that indie games are not as focused on combat as big budget titles but the data doesn’t back up that notion.

    I did a statistical analysis of indie games on Xbox and found 75% center combat mechanics. Similar results with the top 100 games on Steam.
