    Midland/Odessa recently had the highest per capita income in the country, and the fastest-growing crime rate. There are SO many stories in these weird (bleak) oil towns, and hardly anyone to report on them. Someone great should take this job.

    This happened to my brother and sister months ago. Were both born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. Turned in birth certificates, all documentation needed. Were denied passports and asked to produce paperwork to prove they’re American. So yeah...

    U.S. is denying passports to Americans along the border, throwing their citizenship into question

    As of Sept. 10, Tumblr will no longer allow content that glorifies violence or its perpetrators. curious to see how/whether this will impact the true crime community & all the serial killer crush blogs that live there....

    I naively thought that once I moved away from the capital of the confederacy (my hometown!) I wouldn't have to hear about Jefferson Davis anymore. But that dude is everywhere.

    You might have been surprised to know that there were monuments to Jefferson Davis in the first place. Apparently they're gone now.
