Less teachers, without replacements, mean more students each class, meaning lower quality instruction and more capacity issues. Pre-pandemic it was already hard on districts to find licensed teachers and hard on education programs to find students who *want* to be teachers

my dad teaches at a community college, and he's said a few of the instructors in his department are talking about retiring because they're struggling so much with online instruction - which is worrisome because isn't there already a teacher shortage? How much worse will it get?

My wife is a special education teacher and we are exploring her retirement options (none of them ideal) if that blister in the White House forces this teachercide policy through. It seems he is hellbent on making as many people die as he possibly can.

And I absolutely don’t blame them. We don’t have enough sick time to isolate/quarantine. Districts are firing subs so teachers will still be pressured into going in sick
