Editing Sunday Review was a privilege and also full of minor annoying administrative tasks that I am trying to let loom large now, so I don’t miss the job too much. But one great administrative task was entering a writer’s name in the Times’ publishing system for the first time.
So, to mark my last issue, I put together a list of firsts. Because even a retrospective twitter thread put together by someone with an extremely inconsistent and unsatisfying social media presence, to pick one random example, needs some framing.
