Here is a story about Guy: I first met and edited him in 2015 & told him that I was a journalist and a stand up. Or I was trying, anyway. (Yes, you *can* be the only 30-something woman in a blazer writing NYT headlines via slack while you wait to go up at a Bushwick open mic.)
He accompanied me to multiple mics and offered constructive thoughts on my material. I don’t know if you have ever supported someone’s creative endeavors in 2 separate bar basements in 1 night, but it is a very generous thing to do. His book showcases that same generosity.
