This is all well in fine in the land of make believe but as someone who’s worked in a school for years now, it’s absolute nonsense. None of this is fool proof or worth the risk.

Huge problem. Also no testing, temp checks.

Parents will be required to do temp checks and screenings.

Cleaning starts off thorough & comprehensive but over time becomes half hearted & less effective. It takes exceptional discipline to maintain promised levels of sanitation. You can’t trust most organizations including schools to maintain sanitation levels they initially promise

Buses pose the worst problem in this whole equation.

I love our superintendent dearly, but this plan is asinine. It just isn’t feasible in any aspect. They’re talking about cutting PreK-5 classes in almost in half, when we don’t even have reliable regular term subs. Lord help us special needs parents too. I’m dreading September.

I deeply appreciate that parents have to work but what's more important - keeping their child safe and alive or playing Russian Roulette with covid by sending them off to school? There have already been school fails. It's also unfair to teachers & their heath.

I think it’s extreme to equate opening schools with death. There isn’t a zero-risk scenario but we can mitigate risk and be smart.
