I've written 6 books. I still have to experience writing one where the task doesn't feel overwhelming and impossible every step of the way.

Are you writing about what you love? That makes a difference.
I know it's different (I wrote YA nonfiction) but I always opened my laptop expecting the writing fairy would have been at work

Maybe we need to feel overwhelmed, and facing the impossible? Because then we're really testing ourselves as writers. Why do it otherwise?

I write about 1000-2000 words a day and feel like that.
