A presidential term is 4 years, not 3, so Obama had every right to nominate a SCOTUS pick.

The Senate isn't there to "stop" a president. They're there to work w/ a president.

No, that's just plain flouting the agreed-upon rules. The Senate is to "advise and consent."
You need it bc the Senate is required to give SCOTUS nom. a fair and impartial hearing. They did not.
