Arabic speakers: I just came across a word حشاشتي that was translated into "my being". Seems ok in context, but I've never seen it used that way before. I've only seen it used as "Hashish smoker" or maybe even "assassin" but not as "being". Does it sound ok to you?

Google translates it as "my grace", "assassin", and "hashish addict". Rather a strange trio, if you ask me.

دايما اسمعها بالمسلسلات الكويتيه اذا تتكلم الأم عن ولدها ( حشاشة جوفي ) بس ابداً ما توقعت انها من الحشيش🙃
That story is false, actually. The etymology of assassins is اساسيون. They were a fundamentalist sect and that’s how they called themselves. Westerners picked up and spread the hashish story because it played into their orientalist views.
