Every time I retweet something that mentions I'm a writer, I receive quite a few responses from followers who seem surprised that I am. The reply usually goes, oh, I didn't know you're a writer, I just thought you're the dork who posts art. I love that

I do love it. I joined Twitter all those years ago to promote my work and that proved to be too boring most of the time. Now, the fact that some followers don't know that I write also tells me that maybe I don't tweet enough about books.

I don't because I find it difficult to talk about books in a short tweet. Paintings and poems are easier to tweet!

I post on here for fun, but if you want to support what I do, then please support independent bookstores. Again, not asking you to buy my books, just buy your books from independents.
Support independent bookstores because they support me. Without them, I'd have no career!
