This is surprisingly the hardest thing I've had to write: I grew up hearing my sister's stories about her past life. I didn't really scrutinize them until we reunited during the pandemic:

I grew up Druze but later became an atheist and all-around skeptic. Yet I never stopped believing that my sister remembered details from her past life, partly because many Druze people in Lebanon have similar stories.

I won't try to sum all this up in a thread, but I did want to give a shoutout to . Finding traces of Druze life in his novels made them that much more relatable.

That's a lovely essay. I have many family members with stories of past lives. I'm an atheist and have no problems with their beliefs (most of the time!). Luckily, I have this silly ability to hold opposing points of views at the same time. I assume you have that as well.

Thank you so much for reading! You're a huge inspiration so this means a lot. And yes, I definitely do. That's probably why it was so difficult to put this into words!
