Writers used to make money on hardcover sales. Now, fewer buy hcs since it's more convenient to download a book. I wondered how/why it was allowed, thinking that Hollywood wouldn't allow a movie download simultaneously with theatrical release. Guess again.

Especially since agents for actors work in the same agencies as agents for authors. You'd think at least their managers would talk with one another?

This is just Disney dislike of paying folks for their work. They made the contract they could’ve renegotiated and the just decided to not pay for the change.
