Manzanar is a scar upon the slopes of the Sierras. Please visit the museum there- the beauty of the mountains will provide clarity in their juxtaposition to that all-american project in degrading human life. The history of Manzanar is alive, and so still is american fascism!

While the Supreme Court has recognized the internment of the Japanese as fundamentally unconstitutional, the law that allowed it - the Alien Enemies Act - remains on the books. Today I reintroduced the Neighbors Not Enemies Act to finally repeal this racist, xenophobic law.
