My sister was hospitalized with Covid-19 a few months ago, a relatively mild case. She had high fever, could barely breathe for a few days, & was discharged within 5 days. She saw a pulmonologist yesterday & apparently her lungs are severely damaged.
This is not the fucking flu.

I am so sorry. The pulmonologist will have ordered some interventions for her. They're time-consuming and tedious but if she's vigilant hopefully she can get some function back.

... before I was born. So people who call Covid "just the flu" don't know what they're talking about, on multiple levels. A, it's not, and B, even "just the flu" can be a killer or a life changer.
