I don't read The Intercept, but believe the parallels between the US and many failed states exist.
Democracy is just one of the possible metastable states that exists between anarchy and totalitarianism.
And democracy is not the most probable of those states.
So very sorry. Started this but couldn't continue past the first paragraph. The violence in the 70's still lingers in my head & it is too easy to see what is bubbling up in 45's head. I focus on the health crisis, which freaks me out less. Go figure!
