Hey poets. I copied a poem years ago but now can't remember who wrote it. Google hasn't been able to help. The poem is called "Non-Sequitur" First line is "These days, what comes out of your mouth / often surprises . . ." Please help. Who wrote this?

Maybe you can help again. You showed me Merrill's masterful "Charles on Fire" but you also had me read another poem about a man whose elderly father gets mugged. It's very angry, and ends with the poet wishing to get the mugger into a room to beat him up. Do you recognize it?
