Important to note that the ‘seam-side’ of the flat sheet goes up so that the ‘finished’ side of the sheet is against your body.
Also, I do this exactly except for not tucking in the sheet at the bottom of the bed; I’m still just over 6’ tall and I find it claustrophobic.

Fact: leaving your bed unmade allows it to air-out during the day, thereby lowering the humidity levels. This makes for fewer dust mites and mold spores growing in the bedding. 🍄 🐛

This bed making technique is the way I was taught as a 17 year old student nurse in 1972, old school technique and surprisingly satisfying when working with another nurse, an unspoken rhythm.
