The ‘look at the composition’ point is like an art criticism version of the white privilege of complaints about civility that ignore dire structural injustice or flagrant abuse just out of site. — you do mostly enrich my day with your art posts but this one really bothers

I see. And it is. But then I think it would be good to frame it more carefully. Praising the composition makes it seem as if you don’t see a moral issue. That pic is so troubling I can’t unsee it and expect a nightmare

How can one look at this and not see a moral issue? I've posted this photo a number of times before. Believe me, it has given me nightmares.
I'd say the composition highlights the moral issues, and forces the viewer to contemplate their own reactions to it.
