I’d like to state for the record that I’ve never worn blackface, nor did I ever think about doing so. I’ve never dressed as a clansman. I have, however, dressed as Elsa Lanchester once. I regret that very much and apologize to all those who saw that outfit. I was young.

Hahaha. I had a bad dream last night about people around me wearing black faces.

You always dress like Elsa Lanchester. That is why you are a fashion I.C.O.N.

Some drag queens dressed me up as Rod Stewart...twice. Not even a young version. This was old man Rod Stewart with a cane.

I saw Elsa’s one-woman show in about 1960. She sang a song called “If you Peek in My Gazebo”. Loved her.
