To clarify, those names are on a list, but not my list. Some on mine: Attica Locke (novelist/screenwriter), Fernando A. Flores (poet/novelist), Jason Reynolds (poet/novelist), Jacqueline Woodson (poet/novelist), Tarell Alvin McCraney (playwright/screenwriter), etc. Seeking more!

I would think there are a lot of them, actually, especially novelist-screenwriters. (Alex Garland, Nora Ephron, Sherman Alexie...) Harder to find those who are 1st rate at both. Richard Price comes to mind. Mamet. (I realize I'm giving you mostly white guys: sorry about that.)
