This is like asking us to consider how “agonizing” it must be to be a torturer. How many articles will be published about how hard it is to steal children from parents/take pictures of children stolen from parents/read out news about children stolen from parents?

We are being asked to consider the feelings of so many peripherals - photographer/anchor/even fucking federal workers - because considering the feelings of those most affected, those stolen children tortured by separation and being caged, is UNBEARABLE.

Yet the humanity of those stolen children & their parents is relegated to the agony of the enforcers & those who document the agony that must be centered. Just as the hurt feelings of the spokesperson for the fascist-in-chief over being asked to leave a restaurant are centered

The true agony here is of the stolen children and their parents. Never forget that. America is in some fucking upside down super virulent strain of denial and refusal to see how urgent and awful, how urgently awful, things are.
