Just had a real conversation with my grandma who lived in Austria during WWII. Russians came and threatened then to bomb their house if they didn’t give it up, they shot my great grandfather. There was so much hatred. It’s crazy to think that it isn’t that long ago.
I had a sub in school that was in Germany during WWII. He stories of when she was a girl were crazy. She once told of us pf them watching a train come in with Jews, and POWs, they marched them through the city to a camp outside of town. They had no idea the horrors going on.

It’s absolutely horrifying and incredibly sad. That’s the world we live in, that’s how cruel people were, and still are. It’s insane

It is, but that time and the war has always been my interest as far as history. When i lived in germany and the beauty it was crazy to think of the destruction and chaos that was oncr there.
