Does anybody else deal with TMJ? My jaw has been messed up for years but they finally told me I have that and are sending me to a specialist to get more help. What do you do for it??

My dad had it and they gave him a guard to sleep with at night this was years ago so they didnt do anything else. I was dignosed with it and was told they didnt want to do surgery due to it being scar tissue in the joint and that surgery could creat more scare tissue too
