booked a flight on the wrong day, found out at the security ticket check. the replacement option for the flight involves a layover and a total travel time of 6:30h, for what was supposed to be a 2:45h flight. :/

my bet: end to end solution providers will have a tougher and tougher time marketing their products & the most attractive use for these will be hard-to-attribute ops (so risk of misuse will go up). reputable end users will want in-house platforms to reduce risk. twitter.com/HowellONeill/s

guy still owns a school, guy still gives mass, probably hundreds of people that went thru that school are aware of these things happening. thankfully, after word spread about this, only deeply catholic parents send kids there these days, and the school is collapsing.

all these abortion discussions and people claiming catholicism is a ‘moral compass’ remind me of my time in a Catholic private middle school. the owner, a priest involved in Italian politics (and corruption scandals), would touch/joke inappropriately 12yo girls in religion class.

also, a good tip for tech companies to retain employees: don’t let your CTO get all coked up and call random people he doesn’t know to make empty threats in order to do salary price fixing. incredibly enough it may backfire on you!

similarly, in a tech work environment, i think 80% of the hard work can be done remotely. but team building IRL is still very important and is very hard to replicate online!

i think online is probably advantageous when building an initial network, or when doing actual work. but once you have an initial network, meeting irl periodically (especially @ cons) is super valuable.
