And in the ongoing push to call everything that isn't left-wing feminism neo-nazism, MRAs are now alt-right. There are ways to be a hateful git without being specifically alt-right, and there are ways to be pro-men's rights without being hateful, damn it!
Like, from what I've seen the incel community is absolutely toxic, misogynistic, and counter-productive. If you said it was transphobic I'd accept that as hella plausible. It's possible it's veering right, I couldn't say.

Alt-right, which I've understood to encompass largely neo-nazi ideals, I would say based on my limited experience seems like overreaching. Which doesn't mean the incel community isn't bad. Just that it may not be that specific KIND of bad.

But when the reach continues from there to PUAs like RoK (also toxic and misogynistic, as well as ridiculously hypocritical) and beyond on to MRAs? I'm a little (actually a fair bit) horrified at the way you're willing to water down "alt-right"

Alt-right should mean far-right extremism in the vein of neo-nazism, white supremacy, soil and blood bullshit. Reserve it for the unequivocally awful ideologies. Don't come here and tell me men who find Selective Service unfair (it is) are even in the same ballpark.

Absolutely there are misogynist MRAs out there. There are also man-hating feminists, animal rights activists who release lab/fur farm animals to die of exposure in the wild, violent anti-fascists, and so on. Don't want to be judged based on your worst? Don't do it to others.

To be clear, first tweet in thread is hyperbolic as an expression of frustration. I want to be able to trust that people who say they are opposing modern-day nazis are actually doing just that.
