wild how many people have asked for a school shooting episode of the show I write. people are that deeply removed from demanding more from the politicians they've elected and are instead demanding "entertainment." I can't ask "are yall ok" anymore because the answer is "no."

ah. writing the first abbott season 2 script. fuck, I couldn't be happier.
this is one of my favorite lines in the show. I cracked up the first time I read it. I cracked up during table read. took me multiple takes not to laugh during filming. cracked up in editing. laughing at it right now.
Crying shaking and throwing up has new meaning to me because I real life did all three.
Still speechless. Congrats to the entire staff and cast of Abbott Elementary. And I want to share this moment with all of the people who watch and love the show. Emmy nominated, baby!

Abbott Elementary is on hiatus 😞 to compensate, here’s my favorite video of my kids leaving for the day and not knowing that I’m an actress
every time this happens I watch the conversation move toward the why. Mental health, race, class, domestic dispute etc. I kind of can’t stand that because all it does is protect the only constant in each case: a gun.
Personally, this pandemic has aged me ten years. I'm sure of it.

you’re wrong and bad at research. I only attended a charter for high school. My public elementary school was transitioned to charter over a decade after I left. I did love my high school. That school is now defunct- which happens to charters often.
