And I want to make it clear, @TeamYouTube and @YTCreators that I’m not really complaining about a “loss of income” because even though I’ve been monetized for years I have yet to get to a point where I can justify calling YouTube a source of income...
This is entirely about discovery and exposure. The algorithm pushes monetized people with lots of subscribers and views already established. Take away the monetized factor and it almost won’t matter how many videos any small YouTubed puts out- they won’t be found.
I’m disappointed in this decision. Our biggest creator was stupid? Let’s just prevent anyone from ever growing ever again.
