Nice! I always forget what exactly substr and substring do, so I usually use slice (which also works with arrays and buffers etc.)

I've been thinking of doing something like this for ages, and ran into the dilemma again today. Should quickly make back the small amount of time it took from not having to constantly search each one on mdn!

This is why I've sort of written sub* off. They're redundant and confusing imo. Still need to know what to do when I encounter them though!
