This is probably something I don't understand, being Canadian and never having to fear this idiocy, but what about "concealed carry"?

It is a curious thing. But consider, mass shooters tend towards long guns - harder to conceal. Weak, minimal conceal carry training standards still exceed the standards, often none at all, required for obese carry.

Mass shooters don't roam around in shopping malls and grocery stores with guns slinging on their shoulders. "Banning" guns will not have any effect since, well, mass shooters will simply ignore the ban and shoot everyone.
